Pastor Timothy B. Blackwell – Senior Pastor
Pastor Timothy B. Blackwell serves as the Senior Pastor of Beulah Baptist Church with a deep passion for preaching the Word of God, making disciples, and helping believers grow in a deeper relationship with Jesus Christ. With over a decade of pastoral leadership experience, Pastor Blackwell is committed to building strong, Christ centered ministries that reach the unchurched while strengthening the faith of the church family.
Born and raised in Burlington, North Carolina, Pastor Blackwell comes from a strong spiritual heritage. He is the son of both the late Reverend Delbert Blackwell Sr. and June Teel Blackwell. His upbringing in a ministry family helped shape his calling to serve the church and preach the gospel.
Pastor Blackwell has served in multiple pastoral roles throughout North Carolina. He previously served as Senior Pastor of Pine Hill United Church of Christ in Siler City (2006–2012) and Senior Pastor of Allen’s Chapel Missionary Baptist Church in Prospect Hill (2012–2016). In these roles, he helped establish new ministries, strengthen church administration, develop leadership, and expand outreach efforts to better serve the community.
In addition to pastoral leadership, Pastor Blackwell has served as an Associate Minister at Ebenezer United Church of Christ in Burlington, NC, where he assists with preaching, teaching, and supporting the vision of the church. His ministry emphasizes biblical truth, creative communication of the gospel, and building strong relationships within the body of Christ.
Pastor Blackwell earned a Bachelor of Theology from Eastern Carolina Christian College and Seminary and has also studied at several theological institutions including Greensboro Bible Institute and Ebenezer Theological Institute of Studies.
He is passionate about teaching Scripture, apologetics, mentoring others, and equipping believers to live out their faith in everyday life. Pastor Blackwell also has a unique outreach ministry through gospel hip-hop, using music to connect with and minister to youth and young adults.
Pastor Blackwell is married to Christina Jerman Blackwell, and together they are blessed with four children—two daughters and two sons. They share a heart for serving people of all ages and helping individuals grow spiritually, emotionally, and relationally in Christ.
Through preaching, teaching, and community engagement, Pastor Blackwell seeks to lead Beulah Baptist Church into deeper faith, stronger discipleship, and greater impact for the Kingdom of God.
